How do I get AI agent notifications on my phone?

#

Ntfyx is an AI agent notification and reply tool for iPhone and Android. It delivers task updates from Claude Code, Codex and scripts. Pair the CLI on Windows, macOS and Linux with your phone, then send a notification or configure a supported agent integration. When the task explicitly asks a question, answer under that question on your phone; the waiting computer verifies the reply.

The computer and waiting process must remain running.

Completion, questions and approvals are different events

#

Choose the event you need before installing hooks. A notification reports a result; a question waits for input; a native permission request is controlled by the agent host.

Try one notification, then one question

#

After pairing, use the default authorized Topic or select an existing alias with --topic. These examples send a test message and ask what to check next; they do not execute your answer. Keep the CLI waiting while you reply on the phone.

ntfyx send "The task is ready to review" --title "Agent update"
ntfyx ask "What should I check next?" --text --wait 60s --expires 90s --json

What is different from a notification script or a remote session?

#

Ntfyx combines task messages, answers attached to the original question, and Topic/Session history with an opt-in notification marketplace. A workflow can wait for a verified confirmation, choice or text answer. Push services and bots have different reply, encryption and integration features; compare their current official documentation and the setup your workflow needs.

Only tell me the job finishedA desktop notifier or HTTP push hook may already be sufficient. Check phone delivery, platform requirements and maintenance.
Ask me, then continue the waiting taskNtfyx ties confirmation, choice and text answers to the original question. The sender verifies and claims an answer before continuing.
Read and control the entire conversationCompare full-session tools such as Claude Remote Control and Happy. Ntfyx carries selected messages and questions, rather than mirroring the entire terminal.

Can several agents share one Inbox?

#

A Topic groups messages from sources you authorize. Use the same session ID inside the same Topic to keep one task’s updates and replies in a Session conversation. Without a session ID, each new message starts a separate conversation. Grouping does not grant access to other Topics or export the agent’s whole transcript.

What is free, and what is encrypted?

#

Free includes one notification subscription, one custom Topic for your own tools and one monitor checked every hour. MyNotify can receive HTTPS notifications; the system My Monitor Topic is separate from the custom Topic allowance. Receive agent messages and confirm, choose or send a quoted reply on the original question.

No Ntfyx account is required. Shared message, request, device and storage limits still apply.

What if the phone does not alert me?

#

Check pairing and the selected Topic, then phone notification permissions, Focus, mute and quiet hours. Android push requires Google Play services. Server acceptance alone does not prove the phone displayed an alert. A denied, expired or unverified answer does not permit a task to continue.

Need a stronger reminder or a service check?

#

Use an optional Call request for a message that needs attention. Use an HTTP webhook when your service can send an event, or My Monitor when it exposes a public endpoint that should be checked every hour. A stronger reminder does not authorize an action.
