Ntfyx on Android: current status

Native Android development, privacy, device requirements and release status.

Updated

Development status

#

The native Android client is in development and has not been published on Google Play. A local build, screenshot or push API acceptance does not establish Play availability or physical-device delivery. Download links will be added after an actual store release is verified.

The same primary phone model

#

Android is being implemented as an equal primary phone for one encrypted Inbox, with phone-authorized browsers and Sources. It is designed to begin without an iPhone or Ntfyx login. It does not introduce two primary phones, Google sign-in or cloud-readable messages. Moving between phone platforms requires valid recovery material and replaces the previous primary phone.

Device and notification support

#

The development baseline is Android 10 or later. The first release targets overseas devices with Google Play services for FCM push. Notification permission and channels use Android settings; denying notification permission must still permit pairing and foreground use. Devices without Google Play services cannot be promised push delivery.

Force-stopping the app prevents normal background delivery until it is opened again.

Purchases and key recovery

#

Free remains one active Topic; Plus remains twenty, with planned US reference prices of $0.99 monthly and $9.99 lifetime. Play products and transactions are not yet available. Localized prices will come from Google Play. Restoring purchases does not recover encryption keys. A migrated subscription remains managed at the original store, and buying lifetime does not automatically cancel a monthly subscription.

Help and deletion

#

You can ask for deletion without installing or reinstalling an app. Keep pairing links, recovery codes, private keys and purchase tokens out of support messages. The public request page explains identity verification and retained records.
